Former Speaker Koffa Responds to LNP’s Invitation for Investigation

Monrovia Liberia: Following the Liberia National Police’s announcement listing seven persons of interest, including former Speaker Koffa, he took to his official Facebook page to address the situation.
Koffa wrote:
“I understand that, through communication with the House of Representatives’ majority block, the Liberia National Police has invited me and others to assist in the investigation into the recent fire incident.
Since this unfortunate event occurred, I have consistently cooperated with the authorities and ensured that all individuals under my employ have done the same.
I must reiterate that I am absolutely innocent of any involvement in this incident.
I once again encourage the authorities to seek the assistance of international partners to guarantee a fair and impartial investigation.”
Koffa’s statement comes as part of his ongoing cooperation with the investigation.
Where is Koffa
However, questions have arisen regarding his whereabouts. It has been noted that the former Speaker left Liberia to attend the inauguration of Ghana’s President. He was invited as the former Speaker of Liberia, but it was reported that he was absent from the event. With a major investigation of this nature ongoing, many are asking: Where is the former Speaker? And why is he away during such a critical time?
