Czar M. Palay MDR Youth Chair Contract Terminated By Ministry of Labor RL
Czar M. Palay Sacked for Giving Emotional Tribute at PyJ Funeral, According to MDR Insider

The Ministry of Labour, under the leadership of Hon. Clir. Cooper W. Kruah, Sr., has announced that the employment contract of Czar M. Palay, Director of the Health and Occupational Safety Division, will not be renewed due to administrative reasons.
In a statement, the Ministry expressed gratitude for Mr. Palay’s service, while noting that future collaboration may be considered if necessary. As part of the transition, Palay has been instructed to return all Ministry property to the Acting Human Resource Director.
The decision follows a recent public controversy sparked by Palay’s remarks at the funeral of former Nimba County Senator Prince Johnson. At the event, Palay’s speech drew criticism from the MDR Youth Chairperson, who accused Vice President Jeremiah Koung of insulting party supporters by discouraging chants of battle cries. The Chairperson expressed that the comments were an affront to the youth who had supported Koung in the past.
In response to the backlash, Palay issued a public apology via social media, expressing regret for his remarks and offering an apology to Vice President Koung and the affected families.
The termination notice has been circulated to senior Ministry officials, including Deputy Minister for Administration Othello P. Mansor, as well as departments such as Internal Audit, CSA, and Finance.
While the official reason cited for Palay’s departure is administrative, political observers have speculated that the controversial speech may have played a role in the decision. The Ministry of Labour has wished Palay the best in his future endeavors, but no further details on the matter have been provided at this time.
