LNTA Receives 94 Transferred Employees from Ministry of Information

MONROVIA, LIBERIA: The Liberia National Tourism Authority (LNTA) has officially welcomed 94 employees transferred from the Ministry of Information following the handover of government functions related to Tourism and Culture.

The transition ceremony, held during the week at the Ministry of Information's Conference Hall, saw Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah affirming that the LNTA inherits a professionally trained workforce capable of advancing the Authority’s mandate.

Meanwhile, LNTA’s inaugural Director General, Princess Eva Cooper, described the transition as a historic milestone and a strategic realignment for tourism and culture in Liberia.

She pledged professional and accountable leadership, sustainable tourism development, and thanked Minister Piah and LNTA Board Chair Christopher Hayes Onanuga for their role in establishing LNTA as an independent authority.

At the same occasion, the Civil Service Agency Director General, Josiah Joakai, presented personnel verification records, highlighting the importance of credential-based assignments to ensure a competent and merit-based workforce aligned with national civil service standards.
