District 17 Academy Overtakes Shaita FC Atop LFA Second Division Table

GARDNERSVILLE, LIBERIA: District 17 Academy collected a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Pags FC on Thursday, February 19, to edge Shaita FC by 2 points and move to the top of the Liberia Football Association Second League table.
The decisive win increased District 17 Academy's tally to 40 points, suppressing Shaita Angels who earlier held the top spot with 38 points.
Shaita FC faced a setback on Wednesday, February 18, losing 5-2 to Golden Dream FC that undermined their stay on the table.
The three points sealed by District 17 Academy over struggling Pags FC at the Tusa Sports Pitch were enough to pave their way to the summit.
Blamo Harmon set the tone for District 17, while a late strike from Prince Lynch capped off the win. The Brewerville boys have won 13, drawn 1, and lost 6 out of 20 league matches this season.
With 10 games left to climax the 2925/2026 season, the title race stands tightly contested as clubs Keep rivalring for the league's top spot.
