UL Student Dies in Hit-and-Run After Science College Party
Paynesville Mount Barclay, Liberia: A student of the University of Liberia has died following a tragic hit-and-run accident that occurred on the night of April 24, 2026.
The victim has been identified as Nelson Kpadeh, popularly known as “Jack.” He was a member of the Demography Student Association at the University of Liberia.
According to reports, Kpadeh was struck by a vehicle shortly after an after-party organized by the Science College. The driver reportedly fled the scene after the incident.
His death has left students in shock, especially those who attended the event and saw him earlier in the evening. Friends described him as being in good spirits before the tragic accident.
The incident has cast a dark mood over the University of Liberia, particularly the Amos C. Sawyer College of Social Sciences and Humanities, where many students are mourning his sudden death.
Authorities have not yet released full details surrounding the accident. However, students are calling for a thorough investigation to identify the driver and ensure justice for the late Nelson Kpadeh.
Meanwhile, tributes continue to pour in as the university community mourns the loss of a young life cut short.
