LISCR FC Restores 3-Point Lead at LFA First Division League Summit

GARDNERSVILLE, LIBERIA: LISCR Football Club has resurfaced atop the Liberia Football Association First Division League table following a crucial win against LPRC Oilers on Saturday, February 14.

The Shipping Boys whipped LPRC Oilers 1-0 in a tense Gardnersville Derby at the Tusa Sports Pitch, thanks to lone goal from forward Eric Ametepe.

The win rebirthed LISCR FC's 3 points lead in the first place, overtaking defending champions FC Fassell who earlier occupied the top spot with 35 points.

However, the result proves LISRC FC dominance in the Gardnersville Derby this season, defeating their rivals LPRC Oilers 1-0 in both legs of the league fixtures.

Sports pundits believe the 3-point lead underscores LISCR FC's strong push for the league championship, but does not guarantee their stay at the league summit.

The 2025/2026 Liberia Football Association First Division League title race stands tightly contested, as defending champions FC Fassell eye back the top stop.

LISCR FC, including other top title contenders, will have to decide their fate for the league championship in 11 matches, which are left to climax the season.

Coach Kelvin Swebe's LISCR is on a mission to claim the LFA First Division championship title after two seasons when they last won it.
