LPRC Oilers Part Ways with Head Coach Mouctar Fofana

Monrovia Liberia: LFA First Division Club LPRC Oilers has announced the immediate termination of the contract with its Head Coach, Mouctar Fofana. 

The termination of Coach Fofana comes few days after LPRC Oilers' defeat to Invincible Eleven in the LFA First Division.

The club in a statement issued on its official Facebook handle on Tuesday, February 11, said the decision follows a careful consideration of the contract with Coach Fofana.

Though the club declined to state the reason behind Coach Fofana contract termination, many believe it is due to the recent poor form of the Oliers in both the First Division League and the Orange Cup.

LPRC Oilers who began the season as a major title contender is currently seated in the 8th place with 21 points on the league table. The Oliers are yet to find a win in their last three league games, losing 2 and drawing 1. They were thrown out from this season's Orange Cup 3-0 by Watanga FC under Fofana's watch.

Coach Fofana signed a two-year contract with the Oilers but managed to only stay for nearly a season. LPRC Oilers will continue their campaign in Liberia Football Association First Division in seacher for new a head coach that will lead the boys to contend for the championship.

The club in its statement thanked Coach Fofana for his contributions and time spent at the club. "After careful consideration, the club has decided to terminate his contract with immediate effect. We sincerely thank Coach Fofana for his contributions and dedication during his tenure and wish him the best in his future endeavors", LPRC Oilers said in a statement.
