11 Clubs Faces Potential Issues Ahead of LFA League Season

The Liberia Football Association's FIB has identified 11 football clubs in the top three leagues that are currently at risk of not meeting the minimum requirements set by CAF for the upcoming season.

As of now, a final decision has not been made regarding the status of these clubs. The clubs are strongly advised to address any outstanding matters and complete all necessary paperwork before the start of the season.

The clubs at risk are:

1. REAL MUJA
2. LPRC
3. HEAVEN ELEVEN
4. MIGHTY BARROLLE
5. INVINCIBLE ELEVEN FC
6. BEA MOUNTAIN
7. MARGIBI FC
8. JUNIOR PRO
9. CECE UNITED
10. SAMIRA FC
11. NPA Anchor

Chairman of the First Instant Board (FIB) of the Liberia Football Association, Cllr. Jacob K. Dayrell Sr., made the announcement during a news conference on Monday, September 16, 2024. Following a thorough evaluation process, it was determined that these clubs have outstanding documentation issues and do not meet the minimum requirements set by CAF.

The clubs in violation will be called to a meeting by FIB to explain their failure to comply with the regulations. This process is crucial in determining the appropriate sanctions for the offenses.

The eleven clubs have been granted a 6-month grace period to rectify their documentation issues before the start of the season.

In contrast, Chairman Dayrell mentioned that twenty out of thirty-nine clubs had met all the necessary requirements according to the LFA clubs licensing regulations.
