Cuttington University Students in Tears as Fire Strikes Women’s Dormitory Again”

Suakoko Bong Co, Liberia: Students of Cuttington University are in tears after a fire broke out at the women’s dormitory on Thursday. This is the second time the dorm has been affected by fire, though no one was hurt. The cause of the fire is still unknown. Students tried to put out the flames, but the damage has caused a lot of sadness.
The dorm was also damaged by a fire in 2019, and the Cuttington University Alumni Association (CUAA) has been working to fix it. They raised almost $50,000 to help with the renovation. The money improved the dorm rooms, added new bathrooms, and fixed the roof. More changes are planned for the future.
The Rally Hall Dormitory, built in 1978, is an important part of the university. The CUAA President, Mydea White Simmons, is focused on making the campus better for students. She wants to make sure the university moves forward and improves the living conditions for everyone. With help from alumni, the dorm now has electricity and solar power.
The Cuttington University President, Dr. Romelle A. Horton, thanked the alumni for their support and said together they will continue to make the university better.
