Finally, Supreme Orders Re-run in Two Polling Places in Pleebo

Capitol Hill: At long last, the honorable court of Liberia has ordered a re-run in two polling places in Pleebo, Maryland County.

This follows recent complaint file by outgoing house speaker Dr. Bhofal Chambers during the October 10, 2023 presidential and legislative elections.

The supreme court of Liberia had its first hearing in the alleged electoral dispute case filed by Bhofal Chambers against Maryland county district # 2 representative elect Anthony F. Williams.

It was followed by a ruling against speaker Chambers from the NEC hearing officers and the Board of Commissioners at NEC.

During the court’s hearing, the lead lawyer representing the interest of speaker Chambers in the case, Cllr. Syrenus Cephus alleged that country devil was used to intimidate supporters who had gone to vote for Mr. Chambers in Old Sodoken, that his poll watchers were thrown of the elections hall at old Sokodon, that his votes from division 5 and 6 polling place #1 was not included in the results announced by the NEC
