*Fuamah Cooperative Vows to Feed Quarter of Liberians with Government Backing*

Bong County-The Fuamah District Multipurpose Cooperative has vowed to feed 25 percent of Liberia's population once the government of sustain their support to the cooperative. 

The of the cooperative, Prince D. Peters said the cooperative is cultivating 250 hectares of land this year. 

He said the cooperative is supported by the World Bank's re- trap and Star- P project through the Ministry of Agriculture. 

Tractor for the Fuamah District Multipurpose Cooperative 

Mr. Peters Noted that through the World Bank Founded project, the Fuamah Multipurpose Cooperative Society has transitioned from manual farming to mechanized farming.

He encouraged other farmers to join the cooperative in order to unite their strength in producing food crops in Liberia. 

Mr. Peters thanked the government of Liberia for their support for food production in the country. 

The Fuamah District Multipurpose Cooperative was established in 2022, with the to produce rice and vegetables in Fuamah District.
