Golden Dream FC, Susa FC Reach Semi-Finals in LFA Playoffs

Monrovia, Liberia: Golden Dream FC from Montserrado County and Susa FC from Margibi County have made it to the semi-finals of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) National Third Division playoffs.

Their wins bring them closer to qualifying for the Second Division League.

Golden Dream FC beat Kwa FC of River Gee County twice 3-2 in the first match and 2-1 in the second giving them a 5-3 win on aggregate.

Susa FC had a tougher fight against Bain United of Nimba County. Both legs ended in draws (1-1 and 2-2), but Susa FC won the penalty shootout 12-11 to move forward.

Golden Dream and Susa FC now wait to see who they’ll face in the semi-finals. The remaining matches are:

• Phebe Athletic (Bong County) vs. Wein Town FC (Margibi County)

• Todd FC (Montserrado County) vs. Paris FC (Grand Gedeh County)

From the 32 teams that started, the top two teams from the semi-finals and the third-place winner will qualify for the LFA Second Division League.
