MOVEE Condemns Unauthorized Actions and Reaffirms Support for Political Leader

Paynesville City: National Executive Committee of the Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE) has issued a strong condemnation of recent actions by expelled party members, including Mr. Matthew Shan during a press conference held on June 8, 2024.

The committee further described Shan's conduct as a blatant disregard for the investigative process, citing a WhatsApp response where he stated, "Ok, go ahead and make arrest where applicable."

According to MOVEE, Shan held an unauthorized and illegal press conference in the party's name, spreading misinformation and making fraudulent claims.

MOVEE National Executive Committee denounced Shan's statements, labeling them as irresponsible and cowardly.

The committee specifically refuted Shan's assertion that the party's political leader, His Excellency Ambassador Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Sr., was expelled from MOVEE.

The committee called on Shan, along with expelled former National Assistant Secretary General Mr. Jeremiah E. Paye and their associates, to cease their unwarranted attacks and falsehoods against Ambassador Kemayah.

In a unanimous decision, the National Executive Committee expressed its full confidence in Ambassador Kemayah's integrity, professionalism, and leadership. The party National Executive Committee has officially mandated Ambassador Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Sr. to lead MOVEE through the upcoming 2029 general and presidential elections.

They further extended their gratitude to Ambassador Kemayah for his continued support of the party.

Additionally, the committee condemned the actions of Shan and others on May 14, 2024, describing their attack on MOVEE headquarters as barbaric and a gross violation of the party's constitution. The committee accused Shan, Paye, and other expelled members of attempting to illegally seize control of the party's premises.

They also issued a warning to Mr. Goodrich S. Cheayan, a certified National Election Commission candidate for the Economic Freedom Fighter of Liberia (EFFL), urging him to stop interfering in MOVEE's activities. They cautioned that continued intrusion would lead to legal action.
