Rep. Marvin Cole Challenges CSA Boss Joekai Over $1.5M Fraud Claim Against Former Speaker Koffa

CAPITOL HILL, MONROVIA Bong County District #3 Representative Marvin Cole has strongly denied allegations that over US$1.5 million was misused under former Speaker Fonati Koffa’s leadership. He is now demanding that Civil Service Agency (CSA) Director General Josiah Joekai present evidence to support the claim.

The accusation, allegedly made by Joekai, suggests that a large sum of money was misappropriated while Koffa was Speaker of the House of Representatives. But Representative Cole, who once chaired the House Committee on Rules, Order, and Administration, called the claim “misleading” and challenged Joekai in dramatic fashion.

“I challenge Josiah Joekai if he provides that document, I will resign as Representative. But if he doesn’t, then he should resign as Director General of the CSA,” Cole declared.

He didn’t stop there. Cole harshly criticized Joekai’s character, saying:

“He’s a petty criminal and an arrogant young man… He’s not man enough to publish that document.”

The confrontation has stirred political tension, as Cole passionately defends former Speaker Koffa’s record and demands accountability for what he sees as a serious and baseless accusation.

The public now watches to see whether Joekai will respond with evidence or face calls to step down.
