CSA Freezes Salaries for 216 Officials, Saving $104,073.25 Due to Asset Declaration Non-Compliance

Monrovia, Liberia: The Civil Service Agency (CSA) announced it will save $104,073.25 USD in February by withholding salaries for 216 government officials who have failed to declare their assets, in line with a directive from President George Weah.

The CSA emphasized that this action is part of the ongoing efforts to promote transparency and adherence to government mandates.

Individuals and entities with claims spanning from 1980 to 2024 are encouraged to report to the GAC audit team stationed at the County Administrative Buildings during the audit period.

In another development, the General Auditing Commission (GAC) has officially launched the second phase of the Government of Liberia’s Domestic Debt Audit, set to cover 14 counties from February 20 to February 28, 2025.

This initiative will focus on verifying and assessing claims from 1980 to 2024, with the goal of ensuring full transparency and accountability in Liberia’s domestic debt records.
