Demolition Begins Along Tubman Boulevard to Clear Path for Overpass Bridges Construction

The demolition of structures along Tubman Boulevard, starting from ELWA Junction (Car Wash) and SKD Boulevard Junction towards Musu's Spot, commenced today, October 15, 2024.

This exercise is part of efforts to clear the right-of-way for the construction of two overpass bridges, a project funded by the People's Republic of China.

Speaking at the start of the demolition, Assistant Minister for Planning, Program, and Research, Abraham Rahim Bility, announced that full construction work is slated to begin in February 2025. He also mentioned that the geometric design for the overpass bridges is being finalized, with the contractor, CRBC, now in the country.
