Former Chief Justice Cautions Political Leaders to Lead By Example

Monrovia, Liberia: former Chief Justice Gloria Musu-Scott has reminded the ruling Unity Party and its alliance member, Liberty Party including all opposition political parties about their duties and responsibilities to improve the livelihood of Liberians, and as such they must serve with sincerity and honesty.

The former Justice Minister urged political parties to consider themselves as a government in waiting which calls for leaders to conduct themselves properly to serve as an example that will leave a footprint for LiberiaÂ’s youngish generation.

Delivering the keynote speech at the induction of the newly elected leadership of the Liberty Party, Cllr. Scott was quick to state her observation concerning the current wave of crisis in the country.

According to the former Senator Maryland County, this unabated wave of confusion which is affecting the entire governance system of Liberia has left ordinary citizens with nowhere to look for remedy.

She also warned against the militarization of the youth for political and selfish gains.
