LP, UP 2023 Election Collaboration MoU Ends: Senator Karnga-Lawrence Reveals Key Details”

Monrovia Liberia: The political leader of the Liberty Party, Grand Bassa County, and Senate Pro-tempore of the Liberian Senate has announced that the lifespan of the Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate with the ruling Unity Party in the 2023 Presidential and Legislative Elections has expired.
Senator Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence disclosed that she has informed President Joseph Boakai, political leader of the Unity Party that all partisans of Liberty Party that were elected on UP ticket during the Liberty PartyÂ’s internal political wrangling have hereby recalled to the party.
According to Senator Lawrence who was dubbed “Rescue Mother” in the 2023 Elections Campaign, Liberty Party will continue to support the Rescue Mission of the Unity Party but maintain that the party will reserve its right to constructively engage the Unity Party on issues affecting the Liberian people.
Making induction remark on Saturday, February 9, 2025, during the climax of the Liberty Party National Convention stated the party is looking ahead to strengthen its political membership base and prepare itself as the next reliable, dependable capable leadership alternative for national leadership.
The Liberty Party leader also announced that the process to rebrand the party for national leadership started with an extension of an olive branch of recruitment to all like-minded Liberians to join the party.
She calls for institutionalization of the party to ensure systems are in place to make the party stronger for the political journey ahead.
