Judge Denies Motion to Dismiss Economic Sabotage Case Against Former Finance Minister Samuel Tweah and Four Others

Monrovia Liberia: Judge Roosevelt Willie of Criminal Court “C” has denied a motion to dismiss the ongoing economic sabotage case involving former Finance Minister Samuel Tweah and four other individuals.
The defendants, in a ten-count motion, had argued that their actions were carried out under the instruction of former President George Weah, claiming that their conduct was related to national security matters. However, Judge Willie dismissed these claims, asserting that the defendants are not immune from prosecution as they had contended.
The accused, including Tweah, are facing serious charges of economic sabotage, a case that has sparked considerable public and legal attention.
This ruling echoes a similar decision in the case of former Defense Minister Brownie Samuka, where motions to dismiss were also denied.
The legal battle continues as the court proceedings unfold. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
