Liberia Digital Transformation Project Kicks Off Across Liberia

PLEEBO, Maryland:  The Liberia National Digital Transformation Project has kicked off across Liberia.
The program is an initiative organized by President Joseph Boakai's administration, seeking to impact, educate and transform the minds of 10,000 Youth in the area of Technology in the country.

It can be recalled during his first State of the Nation's Address in January 2024, President Boakai promised to train 10,000 youth across Liberia in Technology advancement.

The program focuses three distant areas, "General Digital Marketing, GIS and Data Collection, and Digital Marketing and e-Commerce."

Speaking at the official opening of the program at the O.S. Collins Baptist High School campus in Pleebo City, Maryland County, lead facilitator Maxwell Weah disclosed that both programs will run for two weeks of intensive trainings.

"This training begins today, Monday, August 12, through Monday, August 26, 2024. This section will run from 9am to 11am, another section 11am to 1pm and the other, 1pm to 3pm daily." He said.

Mr. Weah used the medium to encourage participants to put all efforts, and take advantage of the two weeks of intensive trainings, as it is meant to shift a better future for Liberians.
