Liberia’s Foreign Minister Joins Global Leaders in Berlin for UN Peacekeeping Talks

Berlin, Germany: Liberia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Madam Sara Beysolow Nyanti, is leading the Liberian delegation at the UN Peacekeeping Ministerial 2025, currently taking place in Berlin.
Minister Beysolow Nyanti will participate in a High-Level Panel Session on the Future of Peacekeeping, followed by Ministerial Interventions. The two-day forum, held from May 13–14, brings together senior leaders to strengthen political support for UN peacekeeping missions and to address current and emerging challenges.
As part of Liberia’s bid for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council, Minister Beysolow Nyanti will also engage in key bilateral meetings with global counterparts, including senior officials from Germany, Japan, Bangladesh, Eswatini, Algeria, Nepal, Paraguay, and Zimbabwe.
The UN Peacekeeping Ministerial encourages member states to make pledges that close capability gaps and promote partnerships in training and capacity-building efforts. The forum is co-chaired by 15 countries, including Germany, Canada, the United States, and the United Nations Secretariat.
Minister Beysolow Nyanti is accompanied by a high-level Liberian delegation, including Deputy Minister of Defense Hon. Augustine T. Larmin; Mr. Jonney B. Dean, Commissioner of the Crimes Services Division and Interpol Affairs; Assistant Minister Hon. Saran Kaba Jones; and Ms. Stepheine Wesseh, Communication Officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
