One Liberian Youth Reported Missing After U.S. Exchange Program; Three Return Home

Monrovia, Liberia: Three out of four Liberian participants in the 2025 Pan African Youth Leadership Program (PAYLP) in the United States have returned home, while one individual is reported to have absconded.
The PAYLP, an initiative of the U.S. Department of State administered by the Meridian International Center, is designed to cultivate leadership skills, promote civic engagement, and strengthen ties between African youth and the United States.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the missing participant. Meanwhile, the three returning delegates have been commended for upholding the values of the program and representing Liberia with integrity on the international stage.
