SIO Wraps In Disgrace Receives Lashes After Allege Deceptive Video Featuring Cubana Chief Priest Vibing to His Upcoming Single "Blessing" Surface The Internet

Monrovia Liberia: The 22 year old Liberian artist SIO has found himself at the center of controversy after posting an allege misleading video suggesting that Nigerian socialite Cubana Chief Priest was vibing to his highly anticipated 2025 single, "Blessing."

The video, originally shared on SIO's Facebook page, showed Cubana Chief Priest and several others on a boat, enjoying the Unreleased Record.

The caption, "Cubana Chief Priest Use My Sound God," gave fans the impression that the billionaire nightlife influencer had personally endorsed SIO’s song.

However, within minutes, Liberian bloggers uncovered Cubana's official page that appears to have the original video posted on.

According to blogs, The video was edited, and the original footage had no connection to SIO's song.

Reports suggest that the video was altered by a Cameroonian TikToker, not SIO himself, but the artist’s excitement led him to share it without clarification.

Despite him receiving heated misreactions from some of his supporters, many of SIO’s fans are defending him, arguing that he was simply caught up in the moment and did not intentionally mislead his audience.

Some are claiming that Liberian Afrobeats star Jzyno who recently postponed his international collaboration ahead of the release of "Blessing" may have contributed to the controversy.

It can re recall, JZyNo who is Liberia’s biggest music exports recently announced a major Jzyno international collaboration with American rapper The Game, a key figure in the 2000s West Coast hip-hop movement.

This will be Jzyno’s first international project of 2025, following his Billboard U.S. Afrobeats chart debut in 2023 with "Butter My Bread."

The artist announced in early march a mentorship deal with Jzyno who has been link as a result of the partnership.

While there’s no concrete evidence linking him to the video, speculations continue to swirl.

The incident comes amid a remarkable career resurgence for the young lad.

After struggling for years in the industry and even taking a break, his comeback in early 2025 has been marked by his standout feature on IPM Gucs' hit track, "Fake Love." His performance on the songparticularly his chorus received more praise than the original artist’s verses, sparking tension between the two artists.

Instead of celebrating the song's success together, reports suggest that Gucs felt overshadowed by the attention SIO was receiving.

Despite the controversy, the momentum surrounding "Blessing" continue to intensify

The song, set for release on March 28, 2025, is now one of the most anticipated tracks in Africa’s music scene.
