According to sources, Madam Doe died peacefully at her residence this morning in Sinkor.

Nancy B. Doe served as Liberia’s First Lady from 1980 to 1990 during the presidency of her husband, the late Samuel K. Doe. Throughout her time in office, she was known for her involvement in social and charitable causes, particularly focusing on women and children’s welfare.

As of May 2025, it has been 34 years and about 8 months since her husband's death.

She remained a respected public figure in the years following her time as First Lady.
