Margibi County, Liberia: A major security breach at Liberia’s Roberts International Airport (RIA) has been uncovered, as all scanning machines responsible for inspecting passenger bags and luggage are reportedly out of service. This technical failure is leaving the airport vulnerable to criminal activity, with law enforcement sources revealing that criminals are exploiting the situation to smuggle illegal substances, including drugs, into the country.

An undercover investigation has confirmed that the absence of functioning scanning technology machine  has made it easier for criminals to bypass security checks. Experts warn that this growing loophole not only threatens public safety but also compromises national security at a time when the country can least afford it.
