Fires Cause Widespread Destruction Across Los Angeles

Los Angeles USA: According to international news outlets, a rapidly spreading fire broke out in the Hollywood Hills Wednesday night, threatening iconic locations like the Hollywood Bowl and Walk of Fame. This fire is part of a larger series of wildfires that have devastated the Los Angeles area.
The Sunset Fire, near the Hollywood Bowl, is just one of four major fires still raging. These fires have claimed five lives, forced 130,000 people to evacuate, and destroyed entire neighborhoods stretching from the coast to Pasadena.
As fires spread, many people evacuated the area, some leaving hotels with their luggage. Streets around landmarks like Grauman’s Chinese Theatre were packed with traffic, while helicopters dropped water on the flames.
Though the winds had eased slightly by Wednesday, the earlier hurricane-force gusts had spread embers, igniting multiple fires. Firefighters from other states have joined the efforts, but the fires are far from under control.
Several schools in the area have been damaged or destroyed, including Palisades Charter High School, known for appearances in films like Carrie and Teen Wolf. UCLA also canceled classes for the week.
In Pasadena, the Eaton Fire has damaged or destroyed 200 to 500 structures. Firefighters are facing challenges due to water shortages and power outages, with strong winds making it nearly impossible to contain the blaze.
On the Pacific Coast, the Palisades Fire has leveled entire blocks, destroying businesses and homes. This fire is the most destructive in Los Angeles history, with over 1,000 buildings burned.
As the destruction becomes clearer, entire neighborhoods of historic homes are reduced to ashes, leaving only charred remains and broken foundations.
