For Allegedly Buying Two Cars With Gov’t Money,NOCAL Boss slaps with Suspension

Monrovia, Liberia: President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. has immediately suspended Madam Rostalyn Suakoko Dennis, President/CEO of the National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL), following a recommendation from NOCAL’s Board of Directors. This suspension is in response to ongoing allegations against her.
Madam Dennis has been instructed to return all government property in her possession to an interim management team, led by Mr. Fabian Michael Lai, NOCAL’s Vice President for Operations. Mr. Lai will temporarily oversee the company’s operations.
The Government of Liberia reaffirms its commitment to transparency and good governance, particularly in the management of the country’s natural resources. An investigation into the allegations against Madam Dennis will be conducted.
Recently, Madam Dennis was implicated in what appears to be a significant corruption case and was invited by the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission for questioning.
