House of Representatives Endorses Liberia’s UN Bid

Capitol Hill, Liberia: The House of Representatives has given its full support to Liberia’s dream of getting a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council for the 2026–2027 term.

This exciting announcement came from the Capitol Building and shows how serious Liberia is about promoting peace, working with other nations, and standing for democracy around the world.

The House believes that Liberia has already done a lot to support peace in the world, especially in West Africa, and now it’s time for the country to have a stronger voice at the United Nations. This would help share the hopes and concerns of smaller countries like Liberia.

Led by Speaker Richard Nagbe Koon, the House promised to work closely with the government to help make this dream come true. They also thanked Foreign Affairs Minister Sarah Beysolow Nyanti and all Liberia’s ambassadors for their hard work in making this bid known to the world.

Hon. Nehker E. Gaye, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, said, “We thank the countries that already support us and encourage others to join. This bid shows Liberia’s love for peace and unity with the world.”
