Kigali, Rwanda: What began as a dream from grassroots football in Liberia is now gaining international recognition for young Liberian striker Emmanuel Flomo in his debut season at Al Hilal in the Rwandan Premier League.

Flomo's impressive stats with the Sudanese giants, Al Hilal, this season pay off with a Best Young Player recognition in the league.

The 18-year-old sensational forward is enjoying a stellar campaign, with 12 goals to his name from 14 appearances so far.

Flomo's Hilal currently tops the league table with 75 points, 7 points above over Second-placed APR FC who holds 68 points.

He stands as the third-highest scorer in the Rwanda Premier League and the leading scorer for his side Al Hilal.

The lad is nominated for the 2025/2026 Best Young Player Award alongside Byishimo Valua (Bugesera FC), Amada Coulibaly (Al Hilal), and Aboubacar Bachir Bangoura (Al-Merreikh) among other notable talents.

The nomination marks another significant milestone in the career of Emmanuel Flomo who continues to position himself as one of the country's most promising talents on the international stage.

Flomo began his ambitious football career at Real Muja, a third-tier club in Liberia. His early potentials led him to join Liberian First Division side LISRC FC.

He then put up brilliant performances for LISCR, where he scored 16 goals for the Shipping Boys in the 2024/2025 season in Liberia.

The lad's composure before the goal post attracted several top African clubs, including Al Hilal who captured his signature for an undisclosed fee from LISCR FC in 2025.
