NEC to Issue Writ for Nimba County Senatorial By-Election

Monrovia Liberia: The National Elections Commission of Liberia (NEC-Liberia) has announced that it will officially issue the writ of election for the upcoming Nimba County Senatorial By-Election on Monday, February 10, 2025.
The ceremony is set to take place at 10:00 AM in the James M. Fromoyan Hall at the NEC Headquarters in Monrovia.
The Commission has called on all accredited journalists to be seated by 9:30 AM for full coverage of the event.
The issuance of the writ marks a critical step in the electoral process, officially setting the stage for the by-election in Nimba County.
This election comes in the wake of a vacancy in the Liberian Senate, necessitating a new vote to fill the position.
NEC’s Communications Director, Prince Dunbar, signed the media advisory, inviting press representatives to cover the event. The Commission is expected to outline key election procedures and timelines during the ceremony.
