Supreme Court concludes first Hearing in Bhofal Chambers alleged Electoral Dispute case against Anthony Williams.

Temple of Justice: The supreme court of the Republic of Liberia had its first hearing in the alleged electoral dispute case filed by House Speaker Bhofal Chambers against Maryland County District #2 Representative Elect Anthony F. Williams.

It follows a ruling against speaker Chambers from the NEC hearing officers and Board of Commissioners at the National Elections Commission.

During the supreme court's hearing on Thursday, the lead lawyer representing Speaker Bhofal Chambers in the case, Cllr. Syrenus Serphus alleged that Country Devil was used to intimidate supporters who had gone to vote for Mr. Chambers at Old Sodoken, that his Poll Watchers were thrown out of the elections hall in Old Sodoken, that his Votes from Division 5&6 polling place #1 wasn't included in the results announced by the NEC.

Speaker Chamber's lawyers also presented an Audio clip to the court, alleging that an Electoral Supervisor Cece Muna Nimely confessed to stuffing ballots in of Anthony Williams.

However, these are similar arguments in which NEC ruled and stated that there is no sufficient evidence for the claims.

The Supreme Court will on Tuesday, January 09, 2023, at 11 am have its final hearing where Speaker Chambers's lawyers will provide evidence to their claims.

Maryland County District #2 Representative Elect Anthony F. Williams told reporters before the hearings that it is obvious that speaker Chambers hardly accepts defeat.

He then called on supporters and citizens in Pleebo Sodoken District to remain calm, stating that their votes can never be hampered.

Mr. Williams emphasized the Speakership elections in 2011 and senatorial elections in 2014, amongst others.

"He raised a case in 2011 when he lost the Speakership elections. Bhofal Chambers also raised complaints when he lost the 2014 special senatorial elections which was won by Senator J. Gble-bo Brown.

He raised several arguments, which have no magnitude. So Chambers just doesn't like to accept defeat. But he will still be defeated by the Supreme Court. Numbers are stubborn."

Representative-Elect Anthony F. Williams uttered.
