Supreme Court Rejects Petition to Block Government’s Action Against Motorcyclists

Monrovia, Liberia : The Supreme Court of Liberia, through its Chambers Justice, Her Honor Ceainech D. Clinton-Johnson, has rejected a petition for a writ of prohibition filed by the National Kehkeh and Motorbike Riders Welfare and Advocacy Organization (NAKEMOR). The petition, submitted by the Solidarity and Trust for a New Day (STAND) advocacy group led by CEO Mulbah K. Morlu, sought to prevent enforcement actions taken by the Liberia National Police (LNP) and other security agencies under the Ministry of Justice.

The legal challenge, aimed at halting government measures targeting motorcyclists, was ultimately denied as the Chambers Justice found no sufficient grounds to grant the requested writ.
