Suspended LDEA Boss Subpoenaed to Testify in High-Profile Drug Trafficking Case

Monrovia—The suspended Director General of the Liberian Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA), has been subpoenaed by Criminal Court ‘C’ to testify on behalf of the defense in an ongoing drug trafficking trial.
The subpoena, issued by Resident Judge Blamo Dixon, mandates Abraham Kromah suspended LDEA boss to appear in court on Friday, October 4, 2024.
The defense attorneys argue that Kromah's testimony is key to understanding his connection to the defendants. “The suspended director of the LDEA is ordered to appear this Friday to provide evidence regarding his role on behalf of the defendants,” the defense team stated.
Additionally, the officer in charge at the LDEA Christopher Peter, has also been summoned to testify on Thursday, October 3, 2024.
Peter is expected to present CCTV footage from the residence of George Obi, also known as "Japan," which is considered crucial to the case.
George Obi, along with Peter Mamah, Edwin Ozioko, Ndubuisi Okonkwo, Igwe David, Sunday Udeh, and others, were indicted by a Montserrado County grand jury on charges including the illegal possession and distribution of controlled substances, unlicensed drug sales, and criminal conspiracy.
