Monrovia Liberia : President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has Swiftly addressed former Finance Minister Samuel Tweh’s recent accusations. During the commissioning of new Government officials, President Boakai Responded to Tweh’s claims of a politically Motivated witch-hunt against him. 

Tweh, in a Facebook post, criticized the Unity Party’s alleged corruption, including Accusations of mishandling funds and Ignoring audit reports. He vowed to fight These claims through the justice system, Asserting that he would emerge stronger.

In response, President Boakai defended His administration’s anti-corruption efforts, Labeling the criticism as unfounded. He Stated, “We owe no apologies to anyone Who considers our efforts a witch hunt Because only witches are being hunted”.

The President’s remarks come amid Ongoing debates about the legitimacy of The anti-corruption measures, which some Political figures argue are targeting Opponents. Boakai’s administration has Insisted that these efforts are essential for Transparency and accountability.

 President Boakai also Commissioned several officials, includingbAssociate Justice Ceaineh D. Clinton- Johnson and Chief of Protocol Amb Antoinette Munah Wolo.

He reaffirmed his Commitment to enforcing the rule of law And promised that those who have stolen From the country will face legal Consequences;
