“A Complete Disgrace to a Sitting Representative” Citizens State: Frank Saah Foko’s Unpaid Rent Leads to Eviction

Monrovia Liberia: Several citizens have criticized Montserrado County District #9 Representative Frank Saah Foko for failing to pay his rent, calling the situation a serious embarrassment to his office. Many residents, particularly from Paynesville, have expressed their belief that the representative should have settled his rent to avoid public disgrace.
On January 16, 2024, the Monrovia City Court issued a writ of eviction against Representative Foko, following legal proceedings to recover possession of a property in Sinkor, Monrovia.
According to our judicial correspondent, the case stems from a complaint filed by Saiku A. Fahnbulleh, who reported that Representative Foko owes $7,440 in unpaid rent. The rent, which has been overdue since October 2024, is for a property located on 17th Street, Sinkor. The monthly payment of $1,155 has remained unpaid, leading to the eviction order.
The writ directs the sheriff to remove Representative Foko, along with anyone under his control, from the premises. Once evicted, the property will be returned to the complainant.
The court has reportedly served the writ to Representative Foko, who has requested to relocate within two days.
