23 Students, 23 Passes: Repentance Baptist School Celebrates 100% WASSCE Success

Monrovia, Liberia:Repentance Baptist Church School System in Congo Town is celebrating a major academic milestone after all 23 students who sat the 2025–2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) passed, recording a 100 percent pass rate.

The achievement puts the spotlight on the school’s fifth Senior High School Graduation Ceremony, held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, under the theme “Kpato Awon,” meaning “The Bright Future Has Come.”

The success marks a significant moment for the graduating class and the institution, which says its approach to education emphasizes academic performance, discipline, character development, and preparing students for future opportunities.

The ceremony brought together school administrators, teachers, parents, education stakeholders, and government officials, including Commissioner Edward Horton Lahai, who served as guest speaker. Montserrado County District #5 Representative Priscilla A. Cooper and District Education Officer Moore Mulbah also attended the event.

Principal Pastor Henry J. Bemah and Business Manager Victor B. Sayon, working alongside the school board, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders, continue to lead efforts to strengthen the institution’s academic and administrative programs.

Beyond the examination results, the school says it is committed to making education accessible to ordinary families. It charges L$13,000 in annual tuition and L$9,000 in registration fees, while its daycare and lower-grade program serves children from daycare through Grade 3, operating from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Guided by its motto, “Train up a child in the way he should go,” drawn from Proverbs 22:6, the institution says it aims to combine academic achievement with discipline, values, and responsible leadership. As the 23 graduates prepare for their next educational journey, the school is inviting parents and guardians to become part of its growing community.
