MONROVIA, LIBERIA: In Southeastern Duayan Town of Grand Kru County, the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has arrested 38-year-old Liberian identified as Naomi Sawieh.
The arrest follows a search and seizure operation by the agents of LDEA Grand Kru on November 15, 2025.
According to LDEA’s statement released Monday, November 17, 2025, the team confiscated cocaine, heroin, and marijuana with the collective of valued at L$ 5,940,880.00, equivalent to US$ 29,704.00.
The operation marks one of Grand Kru County’s most detailed narcotics seizures under the amended drug enforcement framework.
The LDEA documented 555.7 grams of heroin valued at L$4,445,600.00 or its equivalent in US$ 22,228.00, a quantity that accounted for the majority of the seized substances.
The arrest and seizure, according to the LDEA underscored the scale of illicit drug movement within rural territories. The agency assured the public that every gram of the seized illicit drugs were recorded, secured, and preserved to maintain a consistent evidentiary chain.
According to LDEA, agents additionally seized 138.1 grams of cocaine valued at USD 7,457.40 or its L$1,491,480.00, broadening the evidentiary profile and demonstrating the presence of multi-substance trafficking.

According to the LDEA, Suspect Sawieh was apprehended without resistance as operational discipline and full situational control were maintained during the operation.
