Gasoline Drum Explosion in Sinoe County Leaves Two Men Seriously Injured

Sinoe County, Liberia: Two men were seriously injured this morning following a gasoline drum explosion in Government Camp, Bokon Jeadea District #2, Sinoe County.

The victims, identified as Henry M. Threason Jr., 43, and Franklin Dean, 42, were inside a house being used for business purposes when the explosion occurred around 9:30 a.m. Eyewitnesses reported that the blast caused a fire that completely engulfed the building, but fortunately did not spread to nearby structures.

Both men were rushed to Greenville by ambulance for urgent medical treatment. Their current conditions have not been disclosed.

Local authorities and community members have called for stricter safety measures and regulations when handling and storing flammable materials, particularly in residential and commercial areas, to prevent similar incidents in the future.
