Spartacus ‘Defeat Woes’ Deepened in LBA Division One

Paynesville City, Liberia: Spartacus, a newly promoted First Division Basketball Club, seems to be losing grip on their impressive start in the 2025 Liberia Basketball Association (LBA) Division One following a poor run in their last two league games.
Spartacus, who kicked off the 2025 season on a winning note with a massive 74-41 win against Highway Kings, is yet to taste a win, suffering their latest defeat to Cestos Mongers on Thursday, May 15, 2025, stretching their winless streak to two consecutive games.
With this deficit, the club is dropping crucial points early on the log after stumbling twice, with the initial defeat by 49-69 points against the LPRC Oilers at the famous SKD Basketball Gym in Paynesville City.
Spartacus now seems to be experiencing a difficult start to the 2025 season, with their recent poor run sending a wake-up call about their preparation in the LBA Division One in their debut season.
The Sparta boys demonstrated an impressive performance in the Liberia Basketball Association Division Two, where they emerged as runner-up to Highway Kings in the 2024 season before securing promotion to the top-flight league.
Basketball analysts believe the team needs to work and quickly adapt to new opponents in Division One and hold its heads up high to recover from its deepening woes of defeats.
Famously called the Red and Black Kit Boys, Spartacus will be in action in the coming days at the SKD Basketball Gym, hoping to return to winning ways to compete with Cestos Mongers, LPRC Oilers, and defending champions Mighty Barrolle, who are in high gear for the championship this season.
