Blueberry Travel Agency Enters Liberia, Promising Tech-Driven Boost to Tourism
Monrovia, Liberia: Blueberry Travel Agency, an international travel management company, has formally launched its operations in Liberia, signaling a new chapter for the country’s travel and tourism industry with a focus on technology and global service standards.
The official commissioning ceremony took place on Saturday, January 17, at the Boulevard Palace Hotel in Monrovia and attracted senior government officials, diplomats, and business leaders, marking the company’s entry into the Liberian market.
Speaking at the event, Isaiah K. Dongbo, Acting Managing Director of Blueberry Travel Agency, said the company operates in more than 40 countries worldwide and serves both corporate and leisure travelers. He noted that Blueberry brings over ten years of international experience to Liberia, aimed at strengthening the country’s tourism and business travel landscape.
“Our expansion into Liberia is designed to support the local travel industry while opening doors to global partnerships and easier access to international travel,” Dongbo said, adding that Liberia’s growing business environment presents strong opportunities for sustainable travel development.
Sunil Dela, Regional Manager for Nigeria and Liberia, described the move as a strategic step within West Africa. He said Blueberry’s presence in Liberia would help close the gap in premium travel services between the two countries.
“We are introducing a standardized, world-class service approach to Monrovia,” Dela explained. “Clients in Liberia will now enjoy the same quality, reliability, and professionalism that has made Blueberry well-known in Nigeria and other international markets.”
Also addressing the gathering, Finance Manager Akshit Vyas described the launch as a long-term investment rather than a short-term venture. He emphasized that the company is committed to building strong connections while contributing to Liberia’s economic growth.
Vyas assured stakeholders that Blueberry’s operations in Liberia would be guided by three key principles safety, service, and support which he said would shape every aspect of client engagement.
Blueberry Travel Agency offers a wide range of services, including corporate travel management, meetings and conferences (MICE), destination management, visa support, and luxury group travel.
The event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by India’s Ambassador to Liberia, H.E. Shri Manoj Bihari Verma, alongside Christopher Hayes Onanuga, Chairman of the Liberia National Tourism Authority.
Ambassador Verma welcomed Blueberry’s decision to invest in Liberia, describing it as a positive step toward strengthening tourism cooperation and economic relations between Liberia and India.
Liberia’s Tourism Ambassador, Christopher Hayes Onanuga, encouraged the company to uphold high standards as the country works to establish itself as an attractive travel destination.
The entry of Blueberry Travel Agency into the Liberian market is expected to increase competition, improve access to digital travel services, and potentially reduce the cost of international travel for Liberian customers.
