“It is with great enthusiasm and confidence that we, the members of Green Initiative Liberia, wholeheartedly endorse the appointment of Mr. Rudolf Merab, Sr. as the Managing Director of the Forestry Development Authority (FDA),” said Green Initiative.
Established in 1976, the FDA ensures the sustainable management and conservation of Liberia's invaluable forest resources. “With nearly five decades (50 years) of experience in the forestry sector, including distinguished leadership roles in organizations such as the Liberia Wood Management Corporation and Liberia Timber Association, Mr. Merab has demonstrated his unparalleled dedication to advancing our forestry industry.
“Under his guidance, these institutions have experienced remarkable transformations, attesting to his exceptional leadership capabilities and deep understanding of the sector's intricacies. Moreover, Mr. Merab's extensive managerial experience spanning over 33 years across diverse sectors, from banking to insurance, further enhances his ability to effectively navigate the complexities of the FDA's operations and foster collaboration with stakeholders at all levels,” it furthered.
Green Initiative maintained that Mr. Merab comprehends the opportunities, challenges, and constraints facing the FDA and has a clear vision for its future upward trajectory.
