Fahngon Says Snowe Should Be Removed as Liberia’s Representative to ECOWAS

Monrovia, Liberia: The Director General of the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS), Eugene Fahngon, is calling for the removal of Bomi County Senator Edwin Melvin Snowe as Liberia’s representative at ECOWAS.
Fahngon made this demand after Senator Snowe said during a talk show that he wants the current Liberian government to fail so the opposition can take over. These comments, made on Spoon Talk, have angered many Liberians and government officials.
Speaking during a live podcast from his farm, Fahngon described the senator’s remarks as “reckless, irresponsible, and unacceptable.” He said such statements could harm Liberia’s peace, development, and international image—especially now as the country works to build trust and stability.
Fahngon is urging Senator Snowe to apologize to the Liberian people and believes he should no longer represent the country at ECOWAS. Snowe is one of only two Liberian senators at the regional body, making his role important for the nation’s voice in West Africa.
The situation is gaining national attention as political tensions continue to rise.
