Gov’t Adds 109 Volunteer Teachers to Ministry of Education Payroll in Grand Kru County
Monrovia, Liberia: The Government of Liberia, through the Ministry of Education (MoE), has officially placed 109 volunteer teachers in Grand Kru County on the national payroll.
According to County Education Officer (CEO) Josiah Sloh Nagbe, the onboarding process took place between October and November. He praised the collaborative efforts that led to this achievement, extending appreciation to the District Education Officers and the Ministry’s Human Resources Department for their coordination and dedication to improving education in the county.
“Allow me to express my gratitude to the Ministry of Education for their efforts in reducing the disparity of volunteer teachers in Grand Kru,” CEO Nagbe said.
He further commended the county administration and the Grand Kru County Legislative Caucus for their steady support and cooperation since he assumed office.
“With this continued process of coordination, I am sure that the Grand Kru County school system will never be the same,” he added.
The official absorption of the volunteer teachers is expected to strengthen the county’s teaching workforce and enhance instructional quality across schools in Grand Kru.
