Joint Security announces public safety protocols for pending inauguration of President-Elect, Joseph Boakai

Monrovia: The Joint Security announces to the general public safety protocols for the pending inauguration of President-Elect, Joseph Boakai, which is slated for Monday, January 22, 2024, at the Capitol Building, Capitol Hill, Monrovia.
Operators of vehicles, motorbikes, and Kehkehs are urged to adhere to these measures:
1. That beginning Thursday, January 18, 2024, no motorbike(s), Kehkeh(s)
a heavy duty trucks will be allowed to ply the Roberts International Airport Road to ELWA junction;
2. That Tubman Boulevard remains a NO GO Zone to motorbikes and kehkehs during this operation;
3. That heavy duty trucks wishing to come to Monrovia from the route of the Roberts International Airport will be allowed to do so through the 15th Gate, Firestone Road, during this operation;
4. That motorbikes and Kehkehs from Gardnesville and Duala will be detoured through Waterside and will return through the same route during this operation;
5. That on Monday, January 22, 2024, vehicular traffic from ELWA to Monrovia will be diverted to Jallah Town, Sinkor, by assigned officers;
6. That on Inauguration Day, vehicles plying from Central Monrovia through Sinkor will be diverted to Jallah Town through Bestman Corner;
7. That on Inauguration Day, vehicular movement from 20th Street, 19th Street, 12th Street, 9th Street, 1st Street, Capital Byepass intersection, Bassa Community, and Conex Head Office, will be diverted by assigned officers.
8. It is important to note that those without invitations are asked to stay clear of the Inaugural Grounds up Capitol Hill, Monrovia, in order to avoid any inconvenience.
9. All those with ACCESS passes for vehicles and themselves must at all times display them to avoid inconvenience.
10. All gas/fuel unauthorized sellers are asked to stay off the main roads in and around Monrovia.
