Liverpool Targets Leverkusen Star Frimpong as Trent’s Succ

Liverpool have begun holding talks with Bayer Leverkusen for the transfers of their right-back Jeremie Frimpong in the tone of £30million euros.
The English Premier League champions have seen the 24-year-old Dutchman as the standout candidate to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold who is poised next to complete a free transfer move to Real Madrid this summer.
The opportunity to move to the Premier League side is understood to appeal to Frimpong, whose camp has already held talks over personal terms with Liverpool.
The Leverkusen star has enjoyed a stellar campaign under former Kop favourite Xavi Alonso and is one of a number of their stars attracting the transfer market.
Jeremie Frimpong has five goals and 12 assists to his name this term and also starred in the Leverkusen side that went the entire Bundesliga campaign unbeaten to win the German title last year, where he chalked up a staggering 26 goal contributions.
Arne Slot's Liverpool is poised to make Frimpong their first summer signing after being in the transfer market for a replacement of Trent Alexander-Arnold who has spent about two decades with the Reds.
