LWSC to Expand Water Access with 3,500 New Connections in 2025

Monrovia Liberia: The Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWSC) has announced plans to connect 3,500 new customers to its water network in 2025. Speaking on a local radio station in Monrovia on Monday, LWSC Managing Director Mohammed Ali confirmed that the project’s assessment and enumeration phases have been successfully completed, clearing the path for its implementation.

The initiative will include 2,500 new connections funded by the World Bank, while the Government of Liberia will finance an additional 1,000 connections. Set to begin in the first half of 2025, the project will provide piped water to residents in Monrovia, Paynesville, and surrounding areas.

This development is a key part of LWSC’s ongoing efforts to enhance access to clean and reliable water across Liberia.
