President Boakai Sets up Presidential Steering Committee, Named Tomah Floyd, Christopher Onanuga and others to Support Lone Star

Monrovia- Liberia's Chief Patron of Sports, Joseph Nyuma Boakai has named Nimba Kwadoe CEO Tomah Floyd as Head of a Special Presidential Steering Committee to raise funds for the Lone Star.
Tomah Floyd is also the Chief Executive Officer of Jungle Water Group of Investment, one of the largest businesses owned by a Liberian while Christopher Hayes Onanuga is the owner and Chief Executive of Ctcom Ghana, America, Sierra Leone, Nigeria and Liberia among others.
The move by President Boakai according to Youth and Sports Minister Cole Bangalu is aimed at addressing the no-money syndrome that the National team has experienced over the years.
President Boakai, he stated, reassured and reaffirmed his government's support to the national team.
Liberia will battle Djibouti this afternoon, March 26, 2024 at the SKD in the second leg of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations preliminary qualifier.
Other members of the 30-man Committee are LPRC Boss, Amos Tweh, Foreign Minister Sara Beslow Nyanti, Christopher Onanuga, Saku Dukuly, Neto Leigh, and Sheik Jalloh.
Others are Senators Prince Moye, Edwin Snowe, and Johnny Kpehe.
The rest are Representatives Abu Kamara, Bintu Massaley, Dixon Seeboe, and LFA Vice President Jodi Seton among others.
Institutions named by the President on the committee are Bea Mountain Mining Company,
Additionally, APM Terminals, LISCR, Arcelor Mittal Liberia, and the Bankers Association.
Earlier, President Boakai met with the Senior National Team at the Executive Mansion.
