Pro-temp Lawrence Inspires Integrity and Skill Development at BDOTC Graduation Ceremony

During the 18th graduation convocation of the Business and Domestic Occupational Training Center (BDOTC), Senator Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence, the Protempore of the Liberian Senate, delivered a stirring address emphasizing integrity and skill development.

Senator Lawrence urged the graduates to eschew corrupt practices that hinder progress, stressing the importance of professionalism and accountability. She emphasized the transformative power of vocational training (TVET), highlighting its role in equipping individuals with essential skills, bolstering confidence, and fostering entrepreneurship.

Encouraging the graduates to prioritize TVET, Senator Lawrence expressed confidence in their potential to become proactive and productive members of society. She underscored the significance of acquiring relevant skills, not only for personal income but also for the benefit of employers and the wider community.

Victoria James, delivering the valedictorian speech, outlined practical measures to address challenges facing BDOTC, including infrastructure improvements and enhanced employment opportunities. She urged her fellow graduates to embrace future opportunities with resilience and determination.

Youth and Sports Minister Cllr. J. Cole Bangalu commended the government and the European Union for their collaborative efforts in rehabilitating BDOTC, reaffirming their commitment to youth empowerment and skills development.
