Prosecution rebuttal witness, Dr. Benedict Kolee describes autopsy report conducted by defense foreign pathology as erroneous

In the ongoing murder trial of Charloe Musu, prosecution rebuttal witness, Dr. Benedict Kolee has described the autopsy report conducted by defense foreign pathology as erroneous, falsified and an imaginary authosy without any scientific principles.

On December 12, 2023 it can be recalled Dr. Matthias I. Okoye defense expert witness testified, terming the autopsy report by Dr. Kolee as incorrect, as his report was

The Nigerian born US based forensic patholigist  conducted the second autopsy on Charloe Musu after being called upon by the defense team to examine the body of the victim.

In his testimony the expert witness  testified that the DNA profile taken from the victim's fingernails shows that she was allegedly murdered by someone believed to be a male intruder.

Excerpts from his testimony:

"We compare the defendant blood samples with the fingernails clippings from  Charloe Musu,  and the only DNA profile is that of a minor contributor by a male in the fingernails profile of the left hand and now we have YSTR that we can use to match any suspect even  males who were at the scene that night of February 22 ,the night Charloe was murdered"

"There is a male who may have been more likely the intruder or invader of the house who cause the injuries or death of the victim "

"The percentage confidence of the DNA is more than 90 percent and out of a billion, the use of Y-STR DNA amplification, and PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction), is that even if the suspect doesn't volunteer to give his specimen,  his father or grandfather or Male cousins can"

The testimony given by the witness who is an expert witness  contradicts the initial findings done by Dr. Benedict Kolee, chief Pathologist of the John F. Kennedy Memorial hospital, who described Dr. Kolee's authosy conducted on the remains of the late Charloe Musu as incorrect.

The Liberia Dr. Benedict Kolee was called by prosecution to testify to his DNA reports court in November of this year and in his DNA analysis, he noted  that there was no Y chromosome ( male dna) identified, " the DNA analysis done revealed that everything was female and there's no male identity"

Dr. Okoye's claimed Kolee findings were not actually DNA analysis but instead Chromosome karyotype

"It is used in paternity testing to know whether there is a disease of individuals. It can only show you whether it is the female or male" Dr. Okoye noted

In his rebuttal to the foreign pathologist reports Dr. Kolee, while on the witness stand stated that Dr. Matthias Okoye's autopsy report is erroneous and designed to distort scientific principles, noting that there is some factual evidence presented, but most of the quotations in the report lack scientific proof.

Dr. Kolee noted, "despite the autopsy having figured out a mixed DNA, the late Charloe Musu came in contact with many people who touched her after the incident. Some of whom backed her, and in the process, many parts of her body including her extremities, (left, right hands and foot) came into contacts with them thus potentially leading to the exchange of DNA on parts of her body"

The Liberian pathologist conducted the autopsy on Charloe Musu in March while his counterpart Dr. Matthias Okoye was hired and completed his on November 9, 2023.

Dr. Okoye is from the Nebraska Institute of Forensic Sciences, Lincoln USA. He is a Forensic Pathologist, Scientist Pathologist, Clinical Pathologist, and an Attorney at law with over forty-two year plus experience as a pathologist.
