Senator Zoe Emmanuel Pennue Moves to Secure Release of Arson Perpetrators in Grand Gedeh
Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County – Senator Zoe Emmanuel Pennue of Grand Gedeh County has announced plans to facilitate the release of individuals responsible for the recent arson attack and vandalism of his properties in Zwedru City.
The Senator disclosed that he is 20% involved in the decision-making process, while his family and his political team, the Zoe Pennue Movement for Development (ZPMD), hold the remaining 80%.
In his statement, Senator Pennue emphasized that those involved in the destruction were not linked to the late District #1 Representative, Hon.
Erol Madison Gwion, but were instead misled by misinformation and political manipulation. He claimed that the attack was fueled by rival politicians.
Referring to the perpetrators as his "own children," Pennue expressed his commitment to ensuring their release from Grand Gedeh Central Prison, pending discussions with his family and political supporters.
"These are my children, and I believe they were misled. We are working toward their release," Pennue stated.
The Senator's decision has been met with support from constituents, with many calling into a recent radio show to express their approval.
One caller, Mr. Chei Bayee Garlo, urged the Senator to drop the case, stating, "They have learned their lesson, and it's time for them to come home."
Senator Pennue also reiterated his commitment to education in the county, vowing to continue supporting local students and ensuring they have access to the necessary resources for their academic success.
